The Lying Game Season Finale

by Lauren - No Comments

The Lying Game ended with shocker finale but first lets talk about what happened during the episode.

Ethan did his bes to try and get Emma back but failed spectacularly. Emma returns back to Sutton’s home and continues to be fake Sutton with Kritin, Ted and Laurel. Sutton is waiting for Emma in her bedroom, where Sutton then shows her Rebecca’s locket of Ted. Sutton convinces Emma to show the locket to kristen. When Sutton finds out Ethan and Emma have broken up she’s happy.

Rebecca and Alec’s wedding is still on. They are getting married so Rebecca can’t testify against him in the murder of Derek Rogers. Like we didn’t see that motive coming miles in advance.

Mads is the Maid of Honor while Thayer is the Best Man, although he’s far from thrilled at the prospect. Thayer still questions whether Alec killed Derek but Mads is still naive. Ethan agrees to break into Rebecca’s house and search for evidence that Alec wasn’t with her the whole time, the night of Derek’s murder.

When Kristin talks with Rebecca and Alec about the wedding, Rebecca lets something slip about her past relationship with Ted. Emma shows Kristin the locket with Ted’s picture, proving that Ted was lying to Kristin. Kristin confronts Ted over the engagement dinner about his past relationship with Rebecca. Kristin is devastated that Ted blamed her for the death of Justin’s mums death when it was clearly an issue between him and Rebecca.

When Ethan breaks into Rebecca’s Sutton is waiting for him. They find the picture of Alec threatening Derek with a tire iron. They show it to Dan and his ex-girlfriend. Dan gets a warrant to search Alec’s house and Thayer lets the police in while his dad is waiting for him at the alter. Dan finds the tire iron in Alec’s golf bag. Emma tries to sway Rebecca from marrying Alec but she is adamant about marrying Alec.

Alec and Rebecca get married and then the police arrive to arrest Alec. Alec realizes Thayer betrayed him and tells the cops he was set up. Emma consoles Thayer over the arrest of his father but Ethan misinterprets the moment.

Sutton watches on from the room above. Rebecca enters the room behind her and when Suttonnturns round to speak to her she calls her mum. Rebecca tells Sutton that their plan is working perfectly.

The Lying Game Episode 19 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

This weeks episode of The Lying Game gave us a few shockers but most of them were fairly obvious and if you didn’t see them coming then you probably haven’t been paying enough attention.

First off, Emma couldn’t figure out why Ethan wasn’t talking to her. On the other hand, Ethan couldn’t understand why Emma wanted to talk with him. Sutton lied to both of them and it took them a while to figure out that Sutton had played both of them for fools. Emma and Ethan make up and Kristen asks them to go on the road trip with Laurel. On the road the van breaks down and they all stay in a motel. Laurel gets confused and then shocked to find out Sutton is a virgin (Emma is still pretending to be Sutton, while Sutton hides out in the cabin). Laurel and the band agree to perform for a local old folks home, giving Emma and Ethan some alone time.

Baz tells Laurel he has feelings for her and Laurel responds by quickly kissing him before they perform.

Emma and Ethan get all hot and heavy at the motel but Ethan decides he can’t go through with it. He tells Emma that although he didn’t sleep with Sutton, he did kiss her. Emma is devestated and is glad she didn’t sleep with Ethan.

Back at home, Mads is finally coming round to the idea that her Dad might not be so innocent and that it would be best to find out sooner rather than later. Rebecca is the key and they decide to do some digging into her background. They call Rebecca’s ex-husband and talk to Rebecca’s former maid. They tell the maid that Rebecca is in Pheonix and the maid is happy as that is where Rebecca’s true love lives. Sutton and Thayer have no idea who she’s talking about but if you’ve been following the clues then it didn’t take much to guess.

The maid never knew the mystery man’s name but Rebecca has a picture of him in her locket. Sutton and Thayer make plans to find the locket by distracting Alec. When Thayer and Mads go to distract Alec, Rebecca and Alec drop the bombshell that they are now engaged and plan to get married. Meanwhile, Sutton is upstairs looking for the locket. Thayer joins in on the search and when they finally open it, it’s a picture of Ted.

Kirsten has further doubts about Ted and Rebecca and starts digging. She finds the file that has all the details of the operation that went wrong in L. A. She even goes so far as to ask Ted if he’s ever slept with Rebecca, which he denies. Ted then lies and tells Kristin the destracting call he received that night was from their doctor telling him that Kirsten wasn’t pregnant. Kirsten now feels guilty and believes Ted killed his patient because of her distractions.

Next week is the season finale and hopefully we will get some answers. We hear there’s going to be a wedding!!

The Lying Game Episode 18 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

Last nights episode of The Lying Game was a shocker but I can’t say that I am surprised with the number of lies that fall so easily from Sutton’s tongue. She must have learnt to lie like that from Ted because Kristin seems unable to lie and scheme. However, Sutton went further than she’s ever gone before and is back to her usual ways of destroying her relationship with those closest to her, in order to get her way.

The episode started with Ethan being taken into custody and being processed by the police. Alec is keen to see Ethan locked up and decides to try Ethan as an adult for murder. Alex can;t try the case himself as he knew Derek Rogers and brings in his star prosecutor, which we never actually got to meet.

Emma continues to pretend to be Sutton and convinces Dan that a State Appointed Attorney will not help Ethan and that he needs a hot shot lawyer to fight Alec. Dan meets up with an ex-girlfriend that happens to be an A list Defence Attorney, and good looking of course. She takes the case as she remembers Ethan from when he was a little kid. She meets with Dan, Thayer, Emma (who’s still pretending to be Sutton) and Mads. Teressa explains that Ethan is a person of interest as they have no other suspects. Their job is to find another suspect. Emma tells her about the Frat guy who saw Ethan with Derek. Teressa tells them not to pursue that path as Alec is not someone to be trifled with and can make their lives hell. Emma decides to speak to Rebecca about the situation.

Rebecca listens to Emma’s worries about Alec and how much she loves Ethan. Rebecca tells Emma that she will take care of it.

Emma asks Teressa if she can see Ethan and Teressa says she will try and arrange it.

Sutton is back at the cabin and Emma goes to talk with her. Sutton intercepts a message to Emma’s phone saying she can visit Ethan at the jail. Sutton responds to the message and delete’s the message from Emma’s phone. Emma goes home and Sutton goes to the jail.

Sutton sees Ethan and he thinks it’s Emma. He tells her that something happened with Sutton but it didn’t mean anything to him and that he loves her, Emma. Sutton continues pretending to be Emma and hurt Ethan back by saying she (Emma) slept with Thayer while he was away.

Rebecca goes to dinner with Alec and gets a strange message from the waiter. it says not to trust her date – Alec. The next day Rebecca gets receives a text with a picture of Alec threatening Derek Rogers with a tyre iron. Alec is forced to drop the case against Ethan as Alec could be implicated in the murder. Did Rebecca send those messages to herself? Was she there when Alec threatened Derek? Now it makes me wonder if Alec killed Derek or if it was Rebecca, in order to frame Alec so she can control him and make him do what she wants?

Emma is thrilled that Ethan is a free man but he goes home with Dan without talking to her.

Sutton sneaks into her room and tells Emma that while she was away with Ethan on the ranch they slept together.

The Lying Game Episode 17 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

This weeks episode of The Lying Game ended in a shocker!! Well it would have been if they hadn’t alreasdy shown it in the previews. Way to go ABC Family!!

Well I guesss they are keeping our interest in the show while we build up to the excitement of the finale of season 1 of The Lying Game.

The episode started by letting us know that Mads believes Emma when she says she’s not Sutton. Probably helped that Thayer backed Emma up. However, Mads thinks they are delusional for thinking her Dad is somehow involved with the twin cover-up and the death of Derek, even when more clues are dropped during this weeks episode. Then again, it took Thayer a while to get on the “Daddy is evil” path so it only stands to reason that Mads will feel the same.

Emma, Thayer and Mads try and prove Ethan’s innocence by following up on a lead they get fropm Dan. They find out that Derek was the local dealer for a college fraternity. They find out Alec is an alum member of the same fraternity.

They meet a guy who attended Derek’s funeral at the fraternity party and he tells them he saw Alec and Derek arguing the night Derek died. Mads still thinks Alec is innocent as he was having dinner with Rebecca that night. Emma and Mads ask Rebecca if she was with Alec all night and she lies and says she was. She then tells Alec of the conversation.

Rebecca continues to stir up trouble in other areas. She offers to record a track for Laurel, Baz and the rest of the band. Laurel is ecstatic, Ted is angry and Kristin just wants some answers. Ted refuses to give Kristin the details she needs. Ted losses it with Rebecca at the Club, telling her to leave his family alone and that she knows the reason he left L. A. Seems it wasn’t because of Justin’s mums death afterall. Wish we knew the real reason, but as we suspected it has to do with Ted and Rebecca.

Laurel comes clean to Rebecca about her and Justin secretly dating. Laurel also tells Emma that she doesn’t trust Justin anymore and that she wrote a song about it. Emma tells Laurel to come clean to Justin about how she really feels. Laurel breaks up with Justin.

Thayer continues to tell Emma that he is there for her no matter what. Maybe he realises he will never have Sutton so Emma’s the next best thing.

Meanwhile, Ethan and Sutton get closer on the Ranch. Sutton helps Ethan repair bridges with his father, in order to repair their relationship. Sutton wins again and Ethan falls for it and kisses Sutton.

Alec continues dating Rebecca and searching for Ethan. He gets a call tipping him off to the location of Ethan and the FBI break down the door at the Ranch and take Ethan into custody.

The Lying Game Episode 16 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

Episode 16 of The Lying Game Reservation for Two was a little on the slow side and then ended with a kicker! It was more about relationships being rebuilt and relationships being destroyed.

The first relationship to be repaired was between Sutton and Ethan. They bonded by running away to Ethan’s family home on the Reservation. Sutton got to meet Mr Whitehorse and found out more about Ethan’s family and background. Ethan’s Dad is not impressed by Ethan’s sudden appearance and assumes Ethan is in trouble again. Ethan’s Mother left when he went to Juvie and has never returned. Mr Whitehorse blames Ethan for this and they have a strained relationship. Sutton tries to smooth the waters and finds herself closer to Ethan. Ethan is letting his guard down as this is an emotional time for him.

Mr Whitehorse isn’t surprised when the Police show up at his door asking after Ethan and tell him he’s wanted for murder. He denies seeing Ethan and then tells Ethan he has to leave by the end of the week.

This week Emma continued to pretend to be Sutton. Only Thayer, Ethan and Sutton know about Emma for sure, although Alec gave more hints this week that makes us suspect that he knows about the twins but isn’t telling anyone.

While Sutton and Ethan are hiding from the Law on the farm, Emma is left to answer some difficult questions. Dan puts his trust in who he thinks is Sutton, telling her that she can either save Ethan in her police interview or she can crucify him. Emma does the best she can to describe a the events running up to the murder of Derek but it’s not made easier by the fact she didn’t actually witness the crime. It was the real Sutton that saw what happened. Emma does her best to help Ethan but it makes Alec suspicious and he can’t believe she was even at the scene after her description of what happened.

Matters are made worse when Kristin swears Sutton was in her bedroom that evening and Laurel agrees until Alec explains that Sutton and Ethan were pulled over by the cops that night, around the same time. Kristin and Ted think Sutton is helping a murderer. Laurel shows her support for Sutton and Emma almost breaks down in her arms. Emma cires over pictures of Ethan while Thayer watches from outside her window.

Emma got straight A’s in Sutton’s exams, which makes SUtton’s parents wonder how and also makes them think Ethan might not have murdered Derek. Surely if Sutton had witnessed a crime she couldn;t then get A’s in her test. To be honest, even if Sutton hadn’t witnessed a crime I seriously doubt she could have gotten B’s.

Laurel and Justin continue to date in secret. Justin is jealous of Laurel and Baz making music together and wants to tell everyone they are back together again. Laurel doens’t think her parents are ready to hear it just now and persuades him to wait.

Things are made more complicated when Mads thinks Sutton called her father about the library to give herself an alibi. Of course Emma was at the library and called Alec, because she didn’t realize it was all a ruse agreed by Sutton and Mads.

Emma talks with Alec at Derek’s funeral and it doesn’t go well.

Emma and Rebecca sleeep together and Rebecca supposedly comes clean saying she came back to her home town to get Alec. Makes sense with her ring shopping last week. I still don’t trust her and wonder what her agenda actually is. Meanwhile Alec tells Ted that the closer he is with Rebecaa the safer Ted’s secret is.

Emma realizes Mads is till angry with her because of the library call and wonders if there’s anything else. She tells Thayer she thinks it’s because something happened between Ryan and Sutton at the Black and White Ball. Thayer tries to talk about it with Mads, but she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Mads asks Ryan what ahppened and he’s forced to come clean to her about Sutton hitting on him. Mads finally confrints Sutton about her recent erratic behaviour. Emma has no idea how to defend the recent actions of Sutton and has no choice but to come clean and yells at Mads telling her, I’m not Sutton Mercer. I’m Emma Becker, her twin sister.”

Will Mads believe Emma? I sure hope she does because it’s pretty obvious one twin is nice while the other is mean and nasty.

The Lying Game Episode 15 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

Episode 15 of The Lying Game really raised the anti and now we have a dead character on our hands. What will Emma, Sutton, Thayer and Ethan do next? What is the big secret surrounding the twins birth mother and why is it so dangerous to discover the truth? Those were a few of the questions raised in this weeks episode of The Lying Game.

Laurel wore Sutton’s top to look good since she’s now single but secretly she’s back to dating Justin. No one knows and it;s all hush hush. Until Sutton finds out….

Rebecca and Alec continue to get closer and arrange a date. Rebecca is joining the Country Club and Alec makes it easier for her by putting in a good word. Kristin is surprised to see Alec and Rebecca dating since he treated her so badly in high school. Rebecca calls the Mental Institution inquiring about Annie Hobbs.

Ryan asks Mads out but it’s close to Midterms so Mads asks Sutton to cover for her. Sutton agrees.

Sutton see’s Derek has a tattoo of a snake on the inside of his right wrist. She realizes he was the one in the back of her car that night when she crashed into the lake. Sutton, Thayer and Ethan go to Derek’s house he question him about the crash but he’s not home. They talk to his mum instead and she telles that Derek’s car broke down on the night of Sutton’s birthday party at the lake. He got a lift home from Ethan’s brother, Dan.

Kristin and Ted confront Emma, thinking it’s Sutton, after her terrible behaviour towards them. Emma apologizes and hugs both of Sutton’s parents. Sutton’s parents think there are two versions of Sutton; “Angelic Sutton” and “Devil Sutton”. We know it’s just Emma and Sutton.

Laurel meets Baz the singer/guitarist from the Gala a few weeks back. Baz clearly likes Laurel and Justin makes it clear he’s Laurel’s boyfriend. Baz isn’t detered and gets Laurel’s phone humber from Rebecca. Baz asks Laurel to join the band. Laurel agrees as now she has a cover story for when she wants to sneak off to see Justin.

Emma and Thayer bond and he finds out Emma has lived with 13 foster families, including the Mercers. Emma has learnt not to get too attached. Sutton thinks Emms agreeing to sit Sutton;s midterms is so she can prove to everyone she’s better than Sutton. Thayer explains that Emma just wants a sister and is trying to help Sutton. Emma has to wear a plaster on her head so people think she’s Sutton. Sutton has to stay in the cabin while they do the twin switch.

Ethan confronts Dan about Derek and the lake but Dan didn’t do anything since Sutton and Ethan made up that bogus story about taking the car. Dan tells Alec he thinks Derek might have been involved with the car in the lake. Alec tells him to leave it alone since the case is already shut.

Sutton and Ethan confront Derek at the bodyshop and Derek admits he was in Sutton’s car that night. He was supposed to take her to a parking lot but she panicked and crashed the car into the lake. Derek refuses to tell them who he’s working with and him and Ethan get into a fight. Ethan and Sutton leave when a car pulls up to the bodyshop and Derek seems ok. Continue Reading →

The Lying Game Season 1 Episode 14 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

After watching episode 14 of The Lying Game I really want to know how many viewers wish Sutton realy was dead?

This is one “vidicitive little bitch” as Emma quite rightly said earlier in the Series. It’s a shame that Emma forgets this so often that she constantly falls for Suttons games and tricks. Now I really am wishing Sutton would just be taken out of the picture entirely. I know it’s not in Emma to be as bad as Sutton so she constantly forgives Sutton when she should just step out of the shaows and tell everyone what is really going on. The only way to make sure nothing happens to the twins is to bring the secret out of the shadows and into the light of day. Whatever happened in the past is not the twins fault. No one can blame them for the secrets and lies that have been told. I think if they went to Kristin and Ted the truth would have to come out and I think more truths would be uncovered that perhaps not even Ted is aware of. Alec would be is serious trouble.

Sutton’s Back!!

The episode started with Sutton reclaiming her life and celebrating what a great life she has. Kristin offers pancakes for breakfast and Sutton looks shocked and has just orange juice. Krisin pulls out the white dress that Emma chose to wear to the upcoming Black and White Ball. Emma loves the dress but Sutton turns her nose up at it saying it’s white and it’s too plain. Ted and Kristin are rightly confused as Sutton has pulled a 180 and is gone back to being the “difficult child” she seemed to have grown out of recently. No one has warned them the real Sutton is back. Bet they wish Emma was their child, if they only knew the truth.

Sutton leaves her parents confused and goes to her bedroom to talk with Emma. Sutton is annoyed that Emma planned to go with Ethan to the Ball and feels like it’s Homecoming all over again. Sutton seems to forget that she told Emma to live her life, fixed all her relationsips without any real guidance from Sutton and covered her ass while she was away. Nothing like gratitude!!

Sutton suggests Emma finds a hotel or leaves and goes back to Vegas, because she is only thinking of Emma’s safety of course….

Ethan is annoyed at Sutton’s behaviour and puts Emma in the Mercer cabin. Sutton guilts Ethan into going to the Ball with her.

Emma finally figures out that Sutton is trying to get her out of the picture and Ethan suggests they leave town together. Emma backtracks and still wants to have a relationship with her sister, Sutton, and tells Ethan to take her to the Ball.

Ethan comes up with a plan. He tells Sutton that he will break up with her at the Ball so he can leave with Emma and not have to spend time with Sutton. Mean while, Emma is trying to figure out who tried to kill Sutton and tells Thayer she still suspects his Dad.

The Justin Issue

Laurel tries to speak to Sutton about Justin. She tells the real Sutton that Justin has been lying and that he believes Ted killed his mother. Sutton tells Laurel to tell their parents and the police as Justin is crazy. Laurel asks Sutton to keep it to herself while she figures it out.

Justin tells Laurel he loves her. Laurel thinks he chose her over Sutton as she would be the easier Mark.

Sutton comes clean and tells her parents about Justin, even though Laurel told her to keep it a secret. Ted lets slip about L.A. and then runs off to find Justin. Ted apologizes to Justin and Laurel realizes he suspected about Justin for a while now. Laurel feels they both lied to her. Justin still wants to know where Ted went that day. Yeah so do we Justin.

Ted had to give up his Residency because of what happened with Justin’s mum. That’s why the Mercers moved back to Pheonix.

Laurel can’t believe that Sutton would betray her like that, especially after she covered for Ethan back when everyone but Sutton thougt he’d stolen her laptop. Sutton is quicky destroying all the relationships that Emma built in her place. Continue Reading →

The Lying Game Season 1 Episode 13 Review

by Lauren - No Comments

The Lying Game epiosde 13 aired and it picked off where the cliffhanger ending of episode 12 left off, where Sutton walked in on her own funeral.

Sutton isn’t Dead – What a Shame!

Emma hugs her twin sister and is thankful Sutton is still alive. Although why she’d be happy about that is a total mystery to me, and to some of the other viewers. Sutton claims she couldn’t have called them to tell them she was alright. Also Sutton reminds Ethan and Emma that they think she’s a “vindictive little bitch”. Gotta say Emma called that one right.

Thayer shows Sutton the black and white present which they thought was from Sutton. Sutton denies all knowledge of the note but goes on to say someone did try to kill her. Sutton dramatically shows them her cut on her right temple.

Emma, Etha, Thayer and Sutton move the conversation to the cabin, as they don’t want to be caught in the Mercer house. Sutton tells them what she can of the car accident. All she really knows is that someone jumped her from the rear passenger seat. Emma tells Sutton that they think is might have been Annie Hobbs but Sutton immediately dispels that idea by tell them Annie saved her from drowning.

The Car Crash

Sutton doesn’t remember the crash. She did wake up later in a hotel room with Annie Hobbs looking after her. Annie had followed Sutton that night and saw Sutton crash into the lake. She also saw a dark haired guy swim out of the lake but never saw his face. I’m thinking Derek. Annie dove in and pulled SUtton from the sinking car. Sutton would have found them earlier but Annie flipped out when Sutton mentioned leaving the hotel room so Sutton had to wait for a chance to sneak out.

Of course, no one believes Sutton’s story so she takes Ethan and Thayer to the hotel to introduce them to Annie. Emma wants to meet her birth mother but Sutton refuses telling her that she has to continue to pretend to be Sutton or the ruse will be up. Emma has to be Sutton because Sutton has a big cut on her head. They can’t allow the person writing threatening notes know that Sutton is still alive.

Where Is Annie Hobbs?

While at the hotel Sutton tries to get closer to Ethan, telling him she has changed. Having a near death experience has made her better person. We’re not buying it and thankfully neither was Ethan. Annie Hobbs is no where to be seen at the hotel leaving Ethan and Thayer skeptical as to what Sutton has told them, until Thayer finds Annie Hobbs on some CCTV footage. Continue Reading →

The Lying Game Season 1 Episode 12 When We Dead Awaken Review

by Lauren - No Comments

Oh My God, episode 12 of The Lying Game When We Dead Awaken was full of action, mystery and suspense and a killer ending!!

Ted, Kirsten and Rebecca

Kirsten and Ted bump into Rebecca. Ted doesn’t look happy but his wife misses another clue. Ted leaves them to talk and Kirsten probes about Santa Barbara but Rebecca says she’s never been there. Weird, considering she lived in California. Has Kirsten just tipped Rebecca off that she suspects something?

Derek is Back

Derek is back at school and Emma confronts him. Derek acts shifty until he realizes Emma is talking about how he broke up with Char. Was Derek worried Sutton had figured out that he stole her laptop or was it something else? Was it because he was working with Alec or maybe it was Derek that attacked Sutton in the car and thought she was confronting him about it?

Char’s Parental Issues Finally Come Out in the Open

Emma gets an SOS text from Char and rushes over there to finds Mads cleaning up after one of Phylis’s drinking binges. Char’s Dad is out of town and Char can’t stay with Mads or Sutton as Phylis hates their parents but yet again they all believe Rebecca is cool and is trying to help Char. When really it seems like she’s just trying to help herself.

Rebecca and Alec are locking Phylis into a Recovery Center until she agrees to go to rehab.

Char has to go and live with her Dad and will miss the girls. Rebecca is scheming in the background so something might develop in this area next week.

Justin and Ted Play Golf Again

Laurel tells Justin she found his mother’s bracelet and tells Ted that his Mom was wearing it when she died. Ted asks about it being a car accident and Justin agrees and looks angry. Laurel looks puzzled.

Justin Breaks Laurel’s Heart

Justin acts nasty to Laurel and breaks up with her without a reason. Laurel thinks it has something to do with Ted as they were acting strange around each other. Laurel is crushed.

Justin’s Secret Box

Justin knocks over the super secret box and we see an autopsy report.

What’s Alec Got on Dan?

Emma and Ethan go to the trailer and see Dan and Alec arguing inside and now know they can’t trust the police. Emma thinks she heard them discussing Derek. Later Ethan confronts Dan about Alec and Dan explains why he owes Alec everything, which also explains why he has bad feelings towards Sutton.

When Dan was younger a rich girl called Paige Billings III asked him out to a party with some of her friends. They got really drunk and it turns out Paige was also taking some prescription drugs. She overdosed and Dan was blamed. He was about to lose 20 to 25 years of his life for dealing when Alec stepped in and made it disappear. Dan was completely innocent but because he was poor it didn’t matter. Ethan asks, “How do you know when you’ve paid off the debt?” Dan doesn’t answer but later he calls Alec telling him someone saw them in the trailer the other night. Is Dan betraying his brother? Clearly he still thinks he owes Alec. Continue Reading →

The Lying Game Season 1 Episode 11 O Twin Where Art Thou Recap and Review

by Lauren - No Comments

At long last it’s the return of The Lying Game and fans can breathe a sigh of release that The Lying Game has finally been teamed up with it’s sister show, Pretty Little Liars. Now fans can have double the fun, trying to find out who A is and where Sutton is.

The Lying Game Episode 11 started off exactly where it left us in November. Emma was pretending to be Sutton at Sutton’s birthday party and had run outside thinking it was Sutton in the shadows, only to realize it was Annie. Of course, we all thought it was Annie Hobbs but it turned out to be Annie Sewell, Char’s Aunt, played by Charisma Carpenter. Char invited her and seemed to forget to tell anyone, including her mother, Phylis.

Seems Annie Sewell has history in town, especially with Ted and Alec. Phylis isn’t happy her sister is back and decides to go on a drinking binge. Annie says she’s changed and has taken to using her middle name Rebecca. She recently got divorced and decided to come back to her home town. She tells Ted and Alec she wants to leave the past in the past, but I have a feeling that’s not really the case.

Phylis decides to leave the party drunk and gets a DUI. Since it’s not her first time being caught drink driving she’s in a tight spot. Rebecca steps in and tells Alec to put Phylis on madatory Lock Down in a rehab facility. Looks like Rebecca is making moves to stay in town, and wants Phylis outta the way.

Laurel loses the bracelet Justin gave her. It was his mothers and she was wearing it the day she died. Ted had the bracelet and it seems to mean something to him. Still some creepy stuff going on between Ted and Justin. Is there a link between the accident his parents were in and Ted Mercer?

Meanwhile, Sutton is still missing and this is causing tension between Ethan, Emma and Thayer. Thayer wants to know what happened at the cabin. Emma explains that Sutton tried to seduce Ethan. Thayer thinks Sutton wants revenge for Ethan and Emma falling in love with each other. It makes him suspicious as to why Sutton didn’t come to the party and blow Emma’s cover story.

The Mercer’s extra car is missing and the police are called in to take a statement. Emma was the last one to leave for the party so she lies and says it was there when she left. Ethan and Emma now know how Sutton was getting around town. Ethan plans to sleep at the cabin in case Sutton shows up there. Laurel suspects Sutton took the car, like she used to before she got her license. Laurel also makes a comment about how Sutton used to be a much better lier. Is Laurel ever gonna connect the dots?

The next morning the Mercer car is found in the lake and Dan wonders where Ethan was the night before. Dan blames Sutton and is still convinced she’s bad news. The situation is made worse when Sutton’s cell phone and purse is found in the car. Emma starts to come clean about taking the car when Ethan interrupts saying he took the car, as a reminder of old times. They didn’t tell the police about it before becasue they thought the car would never be found. Now everyone thinks Sutton is sliding back to her old ways and her “Lying Games”. Continue Reading →
